| Starting in September we roll out our Guest Editor Program “GEP” |
|
|
| Today, professional journalists create the content for a majority of campus magazines. At ULM the object is to give students the opportunity to gain a hands-on editorial experience. Each semester we will have five guest editors, in monthly rotating positions to “guest edit” the magazine. The Managing Editor will oversee all content to ensure the stories and work of are of the highest standards.
The GEP is designed so that journalism students can gain real-world experience facilitating the graduate job-hunting process, by giving the student a leg up (i.e., clips) on the competition.
